“Time has ceased, space has vanished. We now like in a global village.” These are the words of Marshall Mcluhan. We live in a digital world. Social media has woven itself into our lives and become an intricate part of it. Today we see many businesses have gone digital and made themselves known on social media. In this blog we will teach you how to manage your business’s presence on social media using a social media management tool called Hootsuite.

According to The Hindu newspaper, on average an Indian user spends about 2.4 hours a day on social media. Over the last few months, fears of infection combined with lockdown and restrictions, have pushed more and more people to go onto social media to interact, entertain and distract themselves. According to a Global Web Index Survey, July 2020 saw a rise of 10.5% in social media usage compared to July 2019.  Social media usage has increased rapidly in the COVID-19 era.

As people spend time on social media, consumers are discovering new brands and business’s which they hadn’t noticed before. If your business is online, good for you. If you are not on social media yet, it is high time you do so. Being a business owner myself, I understand that you are busy and you do not have enough time on your hands to post daily updates on your profile. This is where Hootsuite comes in and simplifies your social media life.
